一般说明【General description】 : 4'-Hexyl-4-biphenylcarbonitrile belongs to the class of low molecular weight liquid crystals (LCs). Optical properties of LCs can be controlled thermally. It can be rendered opaque to transparent state by thermal switching. This effect appears on account of birefringence feature of LCs. Low molecular weight LCs show high, and strongly dependence on temperature as well as possesses higher solubility in polymer matrices. It also exhibits a strong dipole moment.
