TIPIN forms a complex with TIMELESS and regulates the stabilization of replication forks. This complex facilitates the cohesion of sister chromatids. It is also involved in Chk1 phosphorylation by ATR during genotoxic stress response.

Rabbit Anti-TIPIN antibody is suitable for western blot applications at a concentration of 1μg/ml.

TIPIN belongs to the CSM3 family. TIPIN is required for normal progression of S-phase. It is important for cell survival after DNA damage or replication stress. TIPIN may be specifically required for the ATR-CHK1 pathway in the replication checkpoint induced by hydroxyurea or ultraviolet light.
