生化/生理作用
SEPT6 encodes Septin 6 protein that belongs to septin family of GTPases and are involved in cytokinesis. Septin 6 along with hnRNP A1 plays a pivotal role in the replication of HCV through RNA-protein and protein-protein interactions. Co-expression of SEPT12 with SEPT6 alters the filamentous structure of SEPT6 in HeLa cells.
