Pleiomorphic adenoma gene-like 1 (PLAGL1) is a C2H2 zinc finger protein with transactivation and DNA-binding, antiproliferative and tumor suppressor activities. Promoter methylation of PLAGL1 gene acts as a predictive marker for the metastasis-free and overall survival in soft tissue sarcomas. Paternal imprinting of this gene has been observed in many tissues.
