H6 family homeobox 2 (HMX2) is a transcription factor. It plays important roles in embryogenesis and development of nervous system. Hemizygous deletion of HMX2 has been suggested to be associated with inner ear malformations, vestibular dysfunction, and congenital sensorineural hearing loss.
