Synthetic peptide directed towards the C terminal region of human FICD
应用
Anti-FICD antibody produced in rabbit is suitable for western blotting at a concentration of 2.5μg/mL.
生化/生理作用
FICD (FIC domain-containing protein) is a 458 amino acid containing single pass membrane protein. FICD facilitates the addition of adenosine 5′-monophosphate (AMP) to specific residues of target proteins. Hence, it mediates the AMP addition to RhoA, Rac and Cdc42 and inactivates the Rho GTPasesin vitro. Additionally, FICD arbitrates bacterial pathogenesis as well as eukaryotic posttranslational modification, which may facilitate in regulating key signaling events. In mammalian cells, Fic proteins injected by pathogenic bacteria stimulate the adenylylation of small GTPases that results in collapse of the actin cytoskeleton and cell death.
