ARID3B is a member of ARID (AT-rich interaction domain) family of DNA-binding proteins involved in transcription regulation, embryonic patterning and cell cycle control. ARID3B is overexpressed in ovarian cancer cells and its alternative splice forms reportedly enhance the cancer progression. It reportedly induces malignant transformation in neuroblastoma and may serve as a marker of malignancy.
