Recombinant, human soluble interleukin-6 receptor expressed inS. frugiperdainsect cells. Soluble form of the IL-6 receptor that binds IL-6 and mediates IL-6 signaling through interaction with gp 130. Elevated serum levels of soluble IL-6 receptors have been shown to be associated with a number of pathological states, including multiple myelomas, adult T cell leukemia, interstitial lung infection, and HIV infection.
