RAB27B (member RAS oncogene family) is a membrane-bound, prenylated, rab proteins belonging to a melanocyte/platelet subfamily within the rab family. It is mainly expressed in the testis, heart, brain, spleen and kidney. It is mapped on chromosome 18q21.1 region.

RAB27B (member RAS oncogene family) is mainly associated with two vital processes such as vesicular fusion and trafficking. It acts as a GTP-binding factor. Chromosomal mapping study has reported its association with Griscelli Disease, which is characterized with partial albinism and severe immunodeficiency.
