5,10-methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) is also known as MTR. It is a 74.6kDa protein, which is made up of 656 amino acids. MTHFR is highly expressed in testis. It is intermediately expressed in brain and kidney. This protein is present in the cytosol. MTHFR is located on human chromosome 1p36.3.
