生化/生理作用
Cytochrome P450 2W1 (CYP2W1) is overexpressed in human tumors and colorectal cancer. It catalyzes theN-demethylation of benzphetamine and oxidation of arachidonic acid and indole. In addition, CYP2W1 activates many chemicals to cytotoxic end products including several procarcinogens, especially polycyclic hydrocarbon diols. It also has an important role in reducing anticancer agents like 1, 4-bis {[2-(dimethylamino-N-oxide) ethyl] amino}-5, 8-dihydroxyanthracene-9, 10-dione (AQ4N). CYP2W1 carries out the hydroxylation and epoxidation of fatty acid chains, oxidation of lysophospholipids, deacylation of oxidized phospholipids and esterification of oxidized fatty acids to their respective glycerol derivatives.
