一般描述
表皮生长因子(EGF)是小的促有丝分裂多肽(~6 kDa),存在于许多哺乳动物物种中,分布在许多组织和体液中。四种ErbB (HER) 家族受体酪氨酸激酶(包括EGFR/ErbB1、ErbB2、 ErbB3和 ErbB4)介导针对EGF家族成员的反应。人类和小鼠的EGF非常相似,但是它们的物理和化学性质并不相同。在构成两种多肽中每一种多肽的53个氨基酸残基中,有37个是两种分子共有的,并且在相同的相对位置上形成三个二硫键。

生化/生理作用
