LPS will form a suspension in H?O; slight warming and vortexing may be required to achieve complete dispersion in H?O. Addition of 0.5% triethylamine will also help with dispersion; triethylamine is very basic and can be neutralized with Trix-HCl to avoid hydrolysis of the fatty acid chains.
