The TargeTron Vector pNL9164 is a 9,295 bp expression vector for use with the TargeTron Gene Knockout System (product number TA0100). This circularized vector can be used for targeted gene knockouts in gram-positive organisms such asStaphyloccus aureus. As supplied, the pNL9164 vector is re-targeted to theS. aureus hsagene. Thehsagene encodes a member of the HU family of bacterial histone-like proteins. For validation inS. aureus, this vector can be used directly to knockouthsawithout any further modifications.
