DR3 is a member of the TNF superfamily. It is expressed in lymphocyte rich tissues such as blood, thymus and spleen.

synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 59-77 of the extracellular domain of human DR3 precursor.

应用

Anti-DR3 antibody produced in rabbit is suitable for immunoblotting at a working concentration of 0.5μg/mL using total cell lysates from Jurkat cells. It was used as a primary antibody in immunoblotting analysis of adenocarcinoma cells to examine 14-3-3 isoforms expressed in normal and cancerous lung tissues.

生化/生理作用

DR3 is a death domain-containing receptor that is involved in inducing apoptosis or programmed cell death in cells. Binding of ligand to these receptors sends signals that activate members of the caspase family of proteases, which cause the degradation of chromosomal DNA by activating DNase. It also activates NF-κB, a protein complex that controls transcription of DNA.
