Tea tree oil (TTO) is the most popular and valued essential oil extracted from the Australian native plantMelaleuca alternifolia. The chemical composition of TTO consists largely of monoterpenes, sesquiterpenes, and their associated alcohols. It is a natural antiseptic and exhibits broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity.
