一般描述

A quenched fluorescent substrate for MMPs (excitation maximum: ~325 nm; emission maximum: ~393 nm). MMP-3 (stromelysin-1) hydrolyzes this substrate (k_cat/K_m= 59,400 M^-1s^-1) at a rate 60X faster than hydrolysis by MMP-1 (interstitial collagenase). NFF-2 shows little discrimination between MMP-3, MMP-2 (gelatinase-A; k_cat/K_m= 54,000 M^-1s^-1), and MMP-9 (gelatinase-B; k_cat/K_m= 55,300 M^-1s^-1).
