A cell permeable, reversible, and substrate competitive phosphatidylinositol ether analog that potently and selectively inhibits Akt (PKB) (IC50of 5.0 ?M). Moderately inhibits PI 3-K activity (IC50= 83.0 ?M). Also inhibits the growth of various cancer cell lines with IC50values in the 1-10 ?M range.
