Asundexian (BAY 2433334) is an orally activecoagulation factor Xia (FXIa)inhibitor. Asundexian binds directly, potently, and reversibly to the active site of FXIa and thereby inhibits its activity. Asundexian inhibits human FXIa in buffer with anIC₅₀of 1 nM^[1].

Asundexian displays potent anticoagulant activity in vitro in human and rabbit plasma and antithrombotic efficacy in vivo in a rabbit arterial thrombosis model^[1].
