Background:

N-formyl-2-Aminophenol is a bacterial secondary metabolite that has been found inP. chrysogenumand has antioxidant activity.^1,2It scavenges DPPH radicals in a cell-free assay with an IC₅₀value of 3.23 ?g/ml.²N-formyl-2-Aminophenol has also been used in the synthesis of compounds with antibacterial and antifungal activities.³
