Background:

Hentriacontane is an alkane that has anti-inflammatory activity.¹It reduces LPS-induced TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-1β production in RAW 264.7 cells. Hentriacontane (2 and 5 mg/kg) reduces LPS-induced TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-1β production in whole blood and carrageenan-induced paw edema in mice.
