甲磺酸去铁铵（Deferoxamine mesylate）是一种铁螯合剂（结合 Fe3+ 和许多其他金属阳离子），被广泛用于减少铁在组织中的积累和沉积。可透过血脑屏障， 显示出许多生物作用，例如免疫调节、抑制炎症和动脉粥样硬化以及减少神经元死亡。理论上：1克的甲磺酸去铁胺可结合三价铁离子85mg或三价铝离子41mg。
