HCT116是1979年M.Brattain等从患结肠癌的男性病人中分离的三株恶性细胞之一。 在半固体琼脂糖培养基中形成克隆。 HCT116在无胸腺的裸鼠有致瘤性,形成上皮样的肿瘤。
